I was reading a review of the Amazon Kindle, an electronic book reader. It lets you download books directly from Amazon for around $9.99 (USD) each, it also lets you get on the internet and listen to Audible audio books on the device, cool to be sure.
The device get glowing reviews from everyone, but there is one problem..The price is $359 (USD). Umm, yea. Folks its a book reader. How am I going to get this purchase past my book keeper (my wife). How am I ever going to explain to a non-technical person that I am spending $359 on a book reader. Not going to happen.
I want to know how all these married technical people can afford all these toys without a divorce.
Please, tell me. I want one also.
Later.
I think working hard and putting aside 5% of your wage every month lets you indulge in a gadget every once in a while.

Hi Kevin,
I would agree, except that 5%, is part of the bigger 10% that is already being saved for the kids college. Then another 10% being used for a 401K. Then house, food, cars, etc. There just never seems to be enough left over.
I will just hope for a Christmas Bonus that is big enough to shave a few percentage points off.
